What's at stake
The Masters is the most exclusive event on the IJF World Tour: only the top 36 in the world ranking of each weight category are invited, with no limit per nation. It closes the season, two weeks after the Tokyo Grand Slam.
It awards 1,800 points to the winner, 1,260 to the runner-up and 900 to each bronze medallist, second only to the World Championships. The 2026 edition counts towards Olympic qualification for Los Angeles 2028.
The IJF presents the choice of Dushanbe as a reward for judo's growth in Tajikistan. The country won its first Olympic judo medal in Beijing in 2008 and two more in Paris in 2024; Dushanbe has hosted World Tour events since 2023.
Schedule
Three days, Friday 18 to Sunday 20 December, across the fourteen Olympic categories. The IJF has not yet published the daily schedule, start times or invitation list.
