The FFKMDA announced on 6 November the French squad for the IFMA Youth World Muaythai Championships, held by the international federation in Olympia, Greece, from 6 to 16 November. Fifteen athletes, five girls and ten boys, from under-12 to under-18, represent France against more than a hundred nations expected at the site of the ancient Games.
Ten European medallists
The selection builds on the IFMA European Championships held in Paris in October, where France finished third among nations with 24 medals. Ten of the fifteen stood on the podium there: four titles, three silvers and three bronzes. Among the girls, Alyssa Prom Kong (U14, -36 kg) and Mëhina Siever (U16, -45 kg) were crowned European champions, Lina Ouaouine (U14, -34 kg) and Kawtar Abrouk (U18, -60 kg) took silver, and Lina Badouch (U12, -38 kg) bronze.
Among the boys, Ismaël Dert (U14, -32 kg) and Zakaria Belaskri (U18, -48 kg) are reigning European champions, Mehdi M'Beri (U14, -42 kg) was runner-up, and Louay Boukhalfa (U18, -54 kg) and Dalil Taleb (U18, -51 kg) won bronze. Dyclan Haddad (-75 kg), Noa Riffard (-57 kg), Darryl Siever (-60 kg), Ali Sylla (-45 kg) and Tom Tisseront (-63.5 kg), all U18, complete the team.
Three coaches and two referees
Three coaches, a physiotherapist and two French referees accompany the delegation. The federation has set a clear goal: confirm the Paris results on the world stage and bring home medals. It points out that muaythai has been recognised by the International Olympic Committee since 2021 and that these championships are part of its high-performance pathway.
Where to watch
IFMA streams the bouts live on its YouTube channel. The FFKMDA posts results and highlights on its Instagram, Facebook and YouTube accounts. The event overlaps with the WAKO European Kickboxing Championships, where nine French seniors are fighting in Skopje until 15 November.
